Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms and Eligibility

These terms cover building a website with Contrasite, putting it online, and paying for it. By using Contrasite you agree to them. If you do not, do not use it.

You have to be at least 18. If you are signing a business up, it has to be one you can make decisions for.

2. Description of the Service

You can build a website, read every page of it and change anything on it without paying us and without giving us a card. Nothing you build is on the internet until you publish it, and publishing is the part you pay for.

We build the site from what is already public on your Google Business Profile, and we cannot change anything on your listing. Some photographs may come from a stock library, and you can replace anything on the page.

3. Fees and Payment

Putting your website online is $29 a month, or $290 a year if you pay for the year up front. That covers your own domain, hosting the website, and every lead that comes in through the form on it. Each website you put online is its own subscription.

Payments are taken by Stripe, and your card details never reach us.

4. Domain Registration

We register your domain and keep it renewed for as long as you are subscribed, and we point it at your website. It is part of the service, not something we sell you outright or move to another company. If you already have a name you would rather use, email us at gozie@contrasite.com and we will set that up.

5. Subscription Renewal and Cancellation

Your subscription renews on its own, every month or every year, until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard.

Cancelling does not switch anything off straight away. Your website and your domain keep working to the end of the month or the year you have already paid for, and stop after that. You can change your mind at any point before then. If a payment stops going through, your subscription ends too, and you still get the time you paid for.

When it stops, your website goes offline. Nothing is deleted, you keep your leads, and paying again puts the site back up.

6. Refunds

We do not refund part of a month or a year you have already paid for, because your website stays up until that time runs out. If we charge you and your website never goes online, we refund the payment and cancel the subscription ourselves.

7. Ownership of Your Leads

The inquiries your website brings in are yours. We email each one to you and keep a copy on your dashboard. We never sell them and we never contact those people ourselves.

8. Acceptable Use and Suspension

Claim only your own business. You can edit every word of your site, so keep what it says about you true, in particular anything about licences, insurance or guarantees.

We can take a website offline if it was not yours to claim, or if it is being used to mislead people or break the law.

9. SMS and Text Messaging Terms

By providing your phone number and checking the consent box on our forms, you agree to receive text messages from Contrasite. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.

  1. This campaign sends SMS Notifications, Alerts & Occasional Marketing Communication to customers who have opted in to receive SMS notifications.
  2. You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Simply text "STOP" to the number you were messaged from. Upon sending "STOP," we will confirm your unsubscribe status via SMS. Following this confirmation, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. To rejoin, sign up as you did initially, and we will resume sending SMS messages to you.
  3. If you experience issues with the messaging program, reply with the keyword HELP for more assistance, or reach out directly to gozie@contrasite.com.
  4. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  5. As always, message and data rates may apply for messages sent to you from us and to us from you. Message frequency varies. For questions about your text plan or data plan, contact your wireless provider.

10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

We provide the service as is, and we do not promise it will always be available or free of faults. We are not responsible for work you lose or income you miss while the service is down.

11. Indemnification

You are responsible for what your website says and how you use it. If somebody brings a claim against us over your website or how you contacted people who filled in your form, you agree to cover the cost of dealing with it, including reasonable legal fees.

12. Governing Law and Venue

Texas law governs these terms, and any dispute about them belongs in the courts of Travis County, Texas.

13. Modification and Severability

We may update these terms at any time. If a change affects your price or what you get, we will email you before it happens. If a court strikes out one part of these terms, everything else still stands.
